Moldova has significantly increased its export of walnuts to the European Union, doubling the volume compared to the previous year, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dmitry Alaiba.
Over the first seven months of 2024, Moldova exported approximately 7,335 tons of walnuts to the EU market, marking a 94.7% increase over the same period in 2023.
Germany was the largest importer, accounting for 61.7% of Moldova's walnut exports, followed by Romania with 9.4% and France with 8.7%.
