Ukranian farm loses quarter of late-season cabbage due to heat

According to a press release from "PAEK" LLC, one of their farms in Ukraine has lost a quarter of its late-season cabbage crop due to extreme heat.

Seedlings were planted in early July when temperatures exceeded 40°C (104°F). Despite efforts to mitigate the damage with irrigation, the heat significantly impacted the crop.

As a result, the farm will harvest from only 15 hectares instead of the planned 20 hectares.

Although 5 hectares will not yield, this outcome is considered very favourable compared to the crop yields of neighbouring farms in the Mykolaiv region.
