Japanese man retires at 45 after living on rice and vegetables for 21 years

A Japanese man, known online as "The Man Who Will Definitely Resign," managed to retire at 45 by living frugally for 21 years. With a salary of around $34,000 USD, he saved 135 million yen ($917,000 USD) by living in a dormitory, eating simple meals of rice and vegetables, and avoiding unnecessary expenses. Despite his success, he expressed concern over the yen's depreciation, which has significantly impacted his savings.
