Recent data reveals a marked decline in Ukraine's apple exports to African countries and a consistent absence of shipments to Belarus.
From January to June 2024, the main buyers of Ukrainian apples were the UAE (5,900 tons), Saudi Arabia (4,100 tons), Iraq (3,200 tons), Georgia (2,600 tons), Uzbekistan (2,400 tons), Turkey (2,400 tons), Romania (1,800 tons), and Sweden (900 tons).
USPA Fruit has built a strong reputation and established good sales channels in Southeast Asia. However, disruptions in logistics due to attacks on ships in the Red Sea and other logistical challenges from the previous season have led to significant delays, with some containers taking up to five months to arrive. This situation has shifted the focus to closer markets, with increased exports to Gulf countries and Central Asia.
