India may start exporting potatoes and pomegranates to Russia

Indian agricultural authorities are exploring the possibility of exporting potatoes and pomegranates to the Russian market. The issue was discussed between Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor and India's competent authorities on September 6 via videoconference.

According to a statement on Rosselkhoznadzor's website, the discussions concluded with an agreement that India will provide information on the cultivation locations, their phytosanitary status, and the volumes of potatoes and pomegranates intended for export to Russia.

The Indian side has pledged to send the necessary details soon. Following this, the two countries will continue negotiations regarding the shipment of Indian potatoes and pomegranates to Russia.
