UK: Weekly average wholesale market prices for fruit and vegetables

Round tomato prices up by 49% compared to last week

In this week's average wholesale market prices of home-grown produce from the Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs the biggest decrease was in the cucumber prices of -17% and onion red bulb by -15%. The biggest increase could be seen in round tomato prices with 49% and in cauliflower with 25%.

This report presents the average wholesale prices for home-grown fruit, vegetables, and cut flowers in England and Wales. The averages reflect the most common prices charged by wholesalers at key wholesale markets, including Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, and a London market (either New Spitalfields or Western International). The data is updated on a weekly basis.
