The Ukrainian agricultural company "PAEK" in Mykolaiv, which grows vegetables on 2,000 hectares in two growing seasons, has built a storage facility with a capacity of 12,000 tons. It will store crops like onions, beets, carrots, potatoes, and pumpkins.
The project, completed in under a year, includes a mechanized loading system and refrigerated storage.
"Vegetable production is a full-cycle business. Once harvested, crops need proper storage," said Yuriy Kormyshkin, owner of "PAEK."
Meanwhile, in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, another notable project is underway with German support. A new facility for storing fruits and vegetables is being constructed at one of the region's agricultural colleges.
This project is part of the "German-Ukrainian Professional Dialogue on Sustainable Development in the Fruit and Vegetable Sector" and is financially backed by Germany's Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
