Affeldt Maschinenbau GmbH is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year: Over the past five decades, the company, which has been operating under its current name since 2010, has developed into an internationally active supplier of machinery and plant technology in the agricultural and baking industries and maintains long-standing partnerships throughout Europe and North America. Ludwig Volbert also joined the management team in its anniversary year, meaning that the next generation is now at the helm of the family-run company.
In the field of weighing and packaging technology, Affeldt has always adapted to the requirements of the market. As early as the 1980s, the company enriched the market with the first electronic and computer-controlled weighing machines and the commissioning of the first flow-wrapping machine. New standards were also set in the decades that followed, including a high-performance discharge system for pepper traffic light packaging with an output of over 70 packs per minute.
The latest systems from Affeldt include the AVN 929 U ultrasonic mesh machine and the new 14FF generation of weighing machines with optimised accessibility for maintenance and cleaning as well as standardised components. "We are seeing a clear trend towards the automation of secondary packaging across all segments," reports the management of the North German company on request.

Joint trade fair appearance with Daumar
As part of the strategic partnership with the Spanish company Daumar, Fruit Attraction has now also become an unmissable trade fair, the company continues. "We will be exhibiting in Madrid together with our partner Daumar and will be focussing in particular on our 14FF high-performance weighing machine with modular outfeed system. The absolute highlight will be the live demonstration of the machine's capacity of 100 discharges per minute," the company concludes.
