Apple prices in Ukraine have been falling for three weeks due to low demand and an oversupply of autumn varieties that can't be stored long-term. High-quality apples are now selling for $0.29 to $0.44 per kilogram.
It is worth noting that current apple prices in Ukraine have now effectively dropped to the level observed during the same period last year.
This year, apple prices in Ukraine may experience significant fluctuations due to various negative factors affecting the market and production.
Tatiana Popovych, head of the marketing department at the wholesale market "Shuvar," stated that the primary causes of price instability are abnormal weather conditions and supply disruptions caused by ongoing military actions.
Traditionally, the lowest apple prices are observed in late autumn and winter when the harvest has been collected, and supply in the market is at its highest.
