Manager of Alce Nero for twenty years

Massimo Monti is the new CEO of Agrimola

Manager Massimo Monti is the new CEO of Agrimola, a company based in Casalfiumanese in the Italian province of Bologna that specialises in the production of frozen fruit and the processing, transformation and marketing of chestnuts and marroni in the distribution channel. This was announced by shareholders Luca Sassi and Fondo Agroalimentare Italiano.

Monti will also take on the role of vice president of Agribisalta and managing director of Agrisanterno.

"Becoming part of the Agrimola Group," continues Monti, "is for me an adventure that is both challenging and in line with what I love to do, so I am very happy. Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work in close contact with farmers to promote and improve genuine and sustainable food. To be able to continue on this path, as a native of the city of Imola, in a company that has Imola in its name, with a success story rooted in the territory and firmly linked to so many farmers, is definitely important to me and a real source of pride. I would like to thank Luca Sassi and the partners of Fondo Agroalimentare Italiano for the trust they have placed in me."

The arrival of Massimo Monti at Agrimola confirms and strengthens the objectives of the Group in the constant expansion of its activities. Strengthening the management structure, increasing the quality and involvement of staff and partners (especially in the agricultural sector), improving the monitoring of production, planning and control processes, and fine-tuning effective and timely business intelligence tools are all necessary conditions for success in meeting future challenges.

At the same time, an ambitious plan to develop new product lines, new customers and new markets, including those outside Europe, is the means to achieve the ambitious growth targets on which the Group will focus.

Sassi (pictured on the right) says: "I am delighted that Massimo Monti has joined the Agrimola Group. His experience as a manager and director of industrial and commercial companies with a focus on organic production will undoubtedly help the Group's member companies to grow."

A graduate in Economic Statistics from Bologna University, Monti was general manager of Conapi Soc. Coop. and later, as managing director and general manager, led the development of Alce Nero Group for 20 years (March 2004 - June 2024). Monti is currently president of the Consorzio il Biologico Soc. Coop., director of Oicos Srl and director of Berberè Srl (gourmet pizzeria chain).

Luca Sassi - currently the Group's main shareholder with 65% of the shares - will take over the position of president of the board of directors and will place his vast experience at the service of the Group's development strategies during this important organisational evolution.
