In food processing, efficiency and quality are essential. Innovative new features
According to Ryo Takeshita, the sales manager at Astra, the KA-700H retains its core ability to peel 20 different kinds of fruits and vegetables, but it's now easier to use and boasts several exciting upgrades.
"The biggest change is the new color display. The old model only showed peeling depth and spin speed with two numbers, but now the display provides much more information, including short animations that demonstrate how to insert fruit and how different settings affect peeling quality. This makes the machine much easier to understand, reducing the chance of incorrect usage."
The updated model is also more robust. "In the past, some machines were damaged during shipping because they were compact and handled roughly. We've now used stronger materials to prevent damage during transportation. Additionally, we addressed issues with fruit juice entering the machine under extreme conditions, such as high humidity and heavy pressure. The power plug has also been improved—it's now stronger and easier to replace."
"Responding to our customers' feedback, the new KA-700H includes a spin-only mode. Previously, the zesting options were sold separately, but due to high demand, zesting parts are now included as part of the basic set. This makes it perfect for those who want to rotate fruits for grating, especially citrus fruits!"

First launch at two major exhibitions
The new KA-700H will be introduced this October at Fruit Attraction in Spain (Booth #10G30) and the IFPA Global Show in the USA (Booth #C2514). Besides the KA-700H model, Astra also offers many other types of peeling machines, such as the KA-750PM for larger fruits like pineapples, melons, and grapefruits. "At the two exhibitions, we will also be presenting a prototype of the pineapple core remover attachment for the KA-750PM. We believe that this product will be a game-changer that will remove the biggest obstacle to pineapple processing and dramatically increase productivity. We are aiming for a formal launch at the end of this year, but we hope you will be able to see it at the exhibitions first."
