Tajikistan boosts agricultural exports to Russia by 30% in 2024

Tajikistan has significantly increased its agricultural exports to Russia by 30% over the past nine months, according to Deputy Minister of Agriculture Nigina Anvari. In contrast, imports from Russia to Tajikistan surged by 38% during the same period compared to 2023.

Agricultural products account for over 70% of the total trade volume between the two countries. Notably, Tajikistan has ramped up its supplies of fruits and vegetables to Russia by 47%, dried fruits by 60%, and dried apricots, which saw an increase of twofold.

The republic is keen on expanding its export capabilities and is ready to offer a diverse range of agricultural products, Anvari emphasized, calling for intensified cooperation in this area.

However, Tajikistan faces challenges in accessing high-quality seeds, seedlings, and planting materials.
