Changes in fruit and veg prices in Bulgaria over recent weeks

In recent weeks, Bulgaria has seen significant fluctuations in the prices of fruits and vegetables. The most notable price drops have been observed for the following products:

  • Greenhouse cucumbers: down by 12.3%, now priced at €1.27/kg.
  • Watermelons: a decrease of 14.7%, now selling for €0.26/kg.
  • Lemons: a 13% drop, with a price of €1.64/kg.
  • Greenhouse tomatoes: down by 2.3%, now at €1.59/kg.
  • Carrots: a decrease of 2.2%, now costing €0.58/kg.
  • Cabbage: down by 1.8%, now priced at €0.55/kg.
  • Apples: a decrease of 8.2%, now €0.80/kg.
  • Melons: down by 0.3%, now priced at €0.65/kg.

At the same time, several products have seen price increases:

  • Green peppers: up by 2.2%, now at €0.95/kg.
  • Red peppers: a slight rise of 0.3%, now priced at €1.09/kg.
  • Potatoes: an increase of 3.4%, with a price of €0.61/kg.
  • Onions: up by 2%, now selling for €0.58/kg.
  • Bananas: a 1% increase, now at €1.40/kg.
  • Grapes: up by 3.8%, with a new price of €1.25/kg.
