From January to September, Colombia exported 102,376 tons of Hass avocado

According to information from Corpohass, Hass avocado remains one of Colombia's main export products and the second largest income generator for the country. Data provided by the National Tax and Customs Directorate (Dian) indicate that during the first nine months of 2024, the country exported 102,376 tons of Hass avocado, i.e. 15.77% more than in the same period last year.

This growth in exports has had a positive impact on Colombia's income. According to data from the Dian, between January and September, the country obtained $218.6 million from international sales of this product, 42.36% more than in the previous year. Despite a temporary decrease in July and August, in September there was a significant rebound in exports, reaching 11,909 tons, far exceeding the 6,539 tons of the same month in 2023.

Revenue in September surpassed $26.8 million, ranking it as the third highest revenue month of the year, after February and April. Compared to the same month last year, September's sales showed a significant increase, with profits of $9.6 million.
