At the "Budzhak" farm enterprise located in the Odesa region of Ukraine, the harvest of sweet potatoes is being gathered. This crop was planted for the first time on an area of 7 hectares.
This information was reported by the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District State Administration.
"The enterprise is engaged in the cultivation of vegetables, melons, root crops, and tuber crops. The area under vegetables amounts to 41.5 hectares. This year, the land plot was planted with vegetables (onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes) and melon crops," the report states.
It is added that vegetables are grown on the farm using drip irrigation, which helps achieve consistently high yields and helps eliminate the risks of crop failure due to moisture deficiency.
