Freight Line Europe and Transportbedrijf Joh. van der Haas will join forces from January 2025 onwards. "This strategic cooperation offers more than continuity and economies of scale. Transport company Joh. van der Haas B.V. is a specialized in the conditioned transport of young plants, nursery, and ornamental plant products. From branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, they provide transport to countries within the Benelux, Germany, England, France, Austria, and Switzerland.
After 70 years of operating as a family business, succession is lacking within Transportbedrijf Joh. van der Haas B.V. "The lack of succession forced us to think about how to continue the business. The cooperation with Freight Line Europe offers the continuity we want for our company, our people, and our customers," says Aad Spruit, director at Transportbedrijf Joh. van der Haas.
Freight Line Europe B.V., founded in 2007, is an established name in conditioned transport that mainly serves the fresh produce sector. The Freight Line Europe team operates from offices in the Netherlands and England. From here, they provide transport to countries in the Benelux, England, and France.
The activities of Freight Line Europe's can continue in the future. Demi van der Hout, daughter of managing director Chris Hans van der Hout, has been with the company since 2021 and is being groomed to take over from her father in due course. "I am proud of the cooperation that has come about, how wonderful it is to achieve growth and continuity in support of each other," said Freight Line Europe managing director Chris Hans van der Hout.
Transport company Joh. van der Haas B.V. will continue its operations from January 2025 as an independent company under the existing management from the joint branch at Honderdland 791, 2676 LV Maasdijk.
