Import of dried vegetables from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan increases by 61%

The import of dried vegetables from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan saw significant growth in 2024, increasing by 61% compared to the same period in 2023. According to the National Statistics Committee, Kyrgyzstan imported 222.1 tons of dried vegetables from Uzbekistan between January and October 2024, valued at $152,800. This marks a notable rise from the 137.3 tons worth $84,000 imported during the same months of 2023.

Aside from Uzbekistan, other countries also supply dried vegetables to Kyrgyzstan.

  • China delivered 70.8 tons valued at $68,400 in 2024, compared to 103.3 tons worth $74,300 in 2023.
  • Kazakhstan sharply reduced its exports from 369.9 tons in 2023 to just 3.5 tons in 2024.
  • Russia maintained stable export levels of 5.5 tons in both 2023 and 2024.
  • Smaller suppliers, including the United States (2.6 tons), Chile (1.5 tons), and Turkey (0.3 tons) reported no changes in export volumes.
