For over a decade, OnionBusiness.com has served the onion industry. When it launched, the intent was to take the story of onions beyond the fields. While growers are the backbone of the industry, the ecosystem supporting them is also critical—a network of companies, organizations, and individuals dedicated to advancing agriculture, enhancing operations, and ensuring onions reach tables around the world. Its focus on the business of onions recognized the interplay between growers and the companies that support them, from packing and shipping to technology and innovation.
Last year brought unforeseen medical circumstances to both members of the OnionBusiness.com team and that has made it impossible for the portal to continue. Both Sherise Thomas Jones and Kathleen Thomas Gaspar are focusing on their health and well-being in the face of managing life-changing medical issues.

"The onion industry is more than a business; it's a family. While OnionBusiness.com may be stepping away, we will forever cherish the memories, the relationships, and the impact we've shared. As the industry moves forward, we have no doubt it will continue to thrive, innovate, and inspire," write Thomas Jones and Thomas Gaspar, who have also launched a GoFundMe to support ongoing care and the wind-down of the publication.
