No new Oriental fruit fly detections in Auckland as monitoring continues

In Auckland's Papatoetoe, response teams report no new Oriental fruit fly detections. Ongoing activities include trap monitoring, waste collection for safe disposal, and fruit inspections via a mobile laboratory.

Kiwifruit industry representatives, comprising KVH, Punchbowl, and APAC, are aiding in fruit collection within the designated restriction zones. These zones are anticipated to remain until mid-February, adopting a precautionary approach that encompasses the full life cycle of the fly.
