Cartonpack Group, a company in the sector of multi-material packaging for fruits, vegetables, and foodstuffs, has concluded a series of acquisitions over the last period, expanding its industrial presence in Northern Italy where the group has shown growth and, at the same time, strengthening its presence on the international and European markets. The acquisitions were key steps in the development of the expansion and diversification strategy. The strategic union of all the Group's companies (Cartotecnica S.r.l., Ondapack sud S.p.A., Dacapulpl S.l., Smilesys S.p.A., Clifton Packaging Ltd., Fimat S.p.A.) unleashes powerful synergies, amplifying the benefits for both companies and their customers.
Thanks to the combination of production resources and technical and commercial skills, with a specific focus on the fruit and vegetable sector, all companies part of the group will be able to offer their customers increasingly innovative and competitive packaging solutions, effectively responding to the needs of a constantly evolving market. With its multi-material approach and orientation towards eco-sustainable solutions.
New products to be presented at Fruit Logistica 2025The entire Group will attend Fruit Logistica in Berlin to present important novelties that are the result of the synergic intertwining of skills that has led to products such as BK snack, a small bucket made of R-Pet Social Plastic with a re-sealable top seal film patented by Smilesys, and equipped with a central hole that facilitates product exit by turning it into a dispenser. A product of great value in terms of sustainability and eco-design.
This technology makes it possible to eliminate lids and therefore plastic material, making the product lighter and more sustainable. Furthermore, the container can be made of Social Plastic, i.e. post-consumer recycled plastic material. The resealable film, which can be customized with flexographic printing, represents an important innovation in terms of practicality of use and food waste reduction.
Improvements of the most successful products will also be presented at Fruit Logistica, including Cartonshell, a highly versatile product ideal for soft fruit, grapes, tomatoes, cherries, and stone fruit with an innovative closing mechanism covered by an international patent, which will make it even more performing on automatic packaging lines.
The Cartonpack Group will attend Fruit Logistica 2025 (Berlin, 5-7 February), in Hall 4.2/Stand B-13.
