U.S. apple storage five percent less than last February

According to a monthly survey survey, the total number of apples in storage on February 1, 2025, was 130 million bushels, five percent less than last February's total of 137 million bushels and 11 percent more than the five-year average for that date.

Fresh apple holdings this February totaled 93 million bushels, five percent less than the inventories reported for last February. Processing holdings totaled 38 million bushels, five percent less than last year on February 1.

This report captures more than 95 percent of the national storage capacity.
