In contrast, apples (Other Late Season) experienced a significant price drop. The average price decreased from £2.08 in the previous week to £1.67 in the current week, showing a £0.41 decline, which corresponds to a 20% reduction. Meanwhile, Conference pears also recorded a slight decrease in average price, moving from £1.27 to £1.25, marking a £0.02 drop or a 2% decline compared to the previous week.
Among vegetables, asparagus prices saw a noticeable decrease. The average price fell from £19.37 in the previous week to £18.58 in the current week, resulting in a £0.79 decline, equating to a 4% reduction.
