The Embassy of Uzbekistan in London hosted an event highlighting the country's agricultural industry potential, bringing together representatives from British government agencies, exporters, and importers, reports Dunyo News Agency.
The event featured a business forum and an exhibition of Uzbek-grown and manufactured products. Over 50 international companies and Uzbekistan's quarantine and plant protection agency participated.
Attendees were introduced to Uzbekistan's agricultural sector growth, export potential, and ongoing reforms. The British side also learned about Uzbekistan's export geography and investment opportunities.
Discussions covered expanding Uzbek agricultural exports to the UK, logistics, creating agri-clusters with foreign capital, and participating in major trade exhibitions in both countries. Additionally, B2B and G2B meetings took place, exploring concrete projects.
Uzbek exporters presented fresh and dried fruits, vegetable juices, sweets, and confectionery.
The forum concluded with a memorandum of cooperation between the British company "Best Produce" (INT UK LTD) and Uzbekistan's Plant Protection and Quarantine Agency to establish a center promoting Global G.A.P. certification and international standards in Uzbekistan.
