Yemen opens first mango export center in Hodeida province

The first mango export center in Yemen's Hodeida province has been launched in the al Sa'id area of the Bayt al Faqih district. This facility, developed in partnership with the Bayt al-Faqih Multipurpose Cooperative Society, has initiated its operations by dispatching its first shipment to Oman.

Engineer Hilal al-Jashari, serving as the Value Chain Officer, highlighted the center's role in boosting local mango output and affirmed the commitment of pertinent authorities. He also urged enhanced collaboration between farmers and private sector stakeholders through the cooperative society.

Center Director Fawaz al Sharafi detailed the center's processes, which include sorting, packaging, and preparing mangoes for both transport and storage, adhering to international quality standards. The inauguration event was attended by local leaders and farmers.
