A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Khokim of Fergana Region Nuriddin Mamajonov, visited Russia's Omsk Region to discuss investment projects. Uzbek representatives toured key enterprises during the visit, including the "Fruit City" logistics center.
As a result, both sides agreed on a 700-million-ruble investment project focused on strengthening agricultural and industrial cooperation, establishing a production base in Fergana, and expanding export opportunities.
A key initiative will be constructing a logistics hub for storing and distributing agricultural products. The "Fruit City" center will serve as a transit point for Uzbek fruit and vegetable supplies. It will feature modern cold storage facilities, trading areas, and free spaces for Omsk producers to showcase their goods.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Omsk Region, the creation of this logistics center is expected to lower the prices of fresh produce by reducing transportation costs and minimizing intermediaries.
