Celebrating quality, innovation, and sustainability in bananas

Chiquita is returning to this year's Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) Annual Convention and Trade Show. The company will once again bring its energy to the event, offering attendees an engaging experience that highlights its dedication to quality, sustainability, and innovation.

Visitors to the company's booth will have the opportunity to take vintage photos with Miss Chiquita, sample banana-infused recipes like muffins and smoothies, and enjoy the Chiquita Barista Coffee Bar. Attendees can also take home exclusive Chiquita swag, including recyclable yellow totes, and generate special stickers with a printout gift to spotlight the company's recent marketing activation, Pop by Nature 2.0. A collaboration with Argentinian artist and illustrator Sebastian Curi, this campaign celebrated bananas as the ultimate pop fruit, bringing joy, energy, and color to the world through vibrant artwork and interactive experiences.

"Our strength is built on our ability to innovate, evolve, and create meaningful connections with both consumers and clients," said Jamie Postell, vice president of sales at Chiquita North America. "We're excited to welcome attendees to our booth and give them a look at what makes the brand special."

The booth will also showcase the company's ongoing sustainability efforts, including its Yelloway innovation partnership, a joint venture aimed at researching and developing a disease-resistant banana while also reducing carbon emissions. As part of this initiative, Chiquita's Yelloway collaboration is actively implementing solutions to make banana farming more efficient and environmentally responsible.

"CPMA is an incredible opportunity for us to connect with key players in the industry and share the latest updates on our sustainability initiatives, product innovations, and commitment to delivering bananas to consumers worldwide," said Juliana Furlan, director of marketing at Chiquita North America. "From the bold expression of our Pop by Nature 2.0 campaign to our continued commitment to sustainability with Yelloway, we take pride in driving innovation and setting the standard for freshness and quality."

As Canada remains a key market for the company, the brand continues to strengthen its presence in the country through expanded distribution and partnerships with major retailers. With increasing consumer demand for high-quality produce, the company is committed to ensuring that Canadian clients and shoppers have access to fresh, tasty bananas year-round. Through sustainability-focused collaborations like Yelloway, the company is also investing in the future of banana farming, ensuring that its production remains resilient and environmentally responsible for generations to come.

Attendees are encouraged to stop by Chiquita's booth, #307, to see more.
