Aldi recalls baby potatoes over undeclared milk allergen

Aldi has initiated a recall of its Inspired Cuisine baby potatoes with herbs and butter due to potential risks for individuals with severe dairy allergies. The recall pertains to the 385g packs, specifically those with the batch code 4061463488152 and a best before date of April 12.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a "do not eat" alert, indicating that the product may contain undisclosed traces of milk, posing a risk to those with milk allergies or intolerances. The FSA is responsible for issuing such recalls when food safety issues are identified.

Aldi has requested customers return the affected product to the nearest store for a full refund. The supermarket stated, "We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation."
