Ukraine has signed an updated Free Trade Agreement with the European Free Trade Association countries Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, opening greater opportunities for fresh agricultural exports.
According to the Ukrainian government, the revised agreement eliminates or reduces tariffs on a wide range of fresh produce, enhancing access to high-income markets. Iceland will fully remove tariffs on 142 goods, including vegetables and grains, while Norway will abolish duties on 107 items such as fresh vegetables, edible roots, berries, and nuts.
Switzerland and Liechtenstein will scrap tariffs on 427 products, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and dairy, and reduce tariffs on an additional 163 items, such as live animals, beans, and berries.
These changes significantly increase the number of tariff-free goods compared to the original 2010 deal, supporting Ukrainian producers by easing entry into European supply chains.
