Schaap Holland and Landjuweel announced today that they are joining forces in a strategic merger. "As of today, we are joining hands to supply high-quality, sustainable, and innovative potatoes and potato products to our clients in the Netherlands and abroad. This collaboration marks an important step forward in the world of table potatoes."
Together, the potato companies have over 150 years of experience in the potato supply chain. Schaap Holland was founded in 1967, and Landjuweel has been active since 1922. The companies employ more than 150 people and have a combined packing and processing capacity of over 185,000 tons.
Schaap Holland, based in Biddinghuizen (FL), is a major player in potato trading and processing, with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency. The company specializes in washing, sorting, inspecting, and packaging potatoes, as well as processing them into chilled potato products. Landjuweel, based in Oosternieland (GR), is also a family-run business with a long-standing tradition, focused on washing, sorting, and packaging potatoes.
"Together with our clients, we aim to build a future-proof and high-quality potato assortment for the supermarket, food service, and export markets. This collaboration will generate synergy benefits, improve efficiency, and strengthen our market position both nationally and internationally. We look forward to this new chapter with confidence and are fully committed to shaping the future of fresh potatoes and potato products in partnership with our customers, growers, and employees," the companies said.
