The trade craze of September continued into October at the Jiaxing Fruit Market. Fruit sales in that month flourished. Data shows that the fruit sales volume and value increased by 10.52% and 32.3% respectively in October. The overall fruit trade volume and value between January and October increased by 12.68% and 23.82% respectively in comparison with the same period last year.
Breaking down the data by product variety shows that seasonal fruit dominated the market, and growth in this area significantly influenced overall growth in the fruit market. Pomegranate, mangoes, and grapes in particular stood out.
As consumer demand for top-quality fruit grows stronger, the superior flavor and nutritional richness of imported fruits give them a distinct advantage. Imported fruit has become a regular choice for most customers. The trade volume of imported fruit in the Jiaxing Haiguangxing Premium Fruit Trade Center increased by 90.91% in October in comparison with the same period last year. The trade value grew by 137.15%. Durian, pineapple, coconut, pomelo, kiwi fruit, and grapes in particular stood out.
