Under regular weather conditions the peak period of the peach production season falls between early July and early August. The sales season of yellow peaches lasts from the 28th of June until late September. "Last year the price of 200-300 gram flat peaches in premium packaging was around 7 yuan [1.05 USD], while the price of yellow peaches was around 5 yuan [0.75 USD]. This year the conditions are different. The peach trees in the north are not yet ready for the harvest. Moreover, they suffer from insect pests. The production volume is expected to decline by more than 30% this year," said Mr. Yue.
Qinhuangdao Guozhenhao Agricultural Development sells flat peaches and yellow peaches under their own brand name 'Guozhenhao' in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Shanghai. They primarily sell wholesale. According to Mr. Yue, "We can package according to the requirements of our customers. We prefer to sell to high-end supermarkets in first- and second-tier cities, but we are also open to community group purchases. We aim to diversify our supply chain. We encourage interested retail partners to get in touch."
Qinhuangdao Guozhenhao Agricultural Development primarily grows open-field peaches and specializes in environmentally-friendly, green plantation methods.
