December trends of Agadir's fresh fruit and vegetable exports

To explore December's trends in the fruit and vegetable export market of Agadir, Morocco, we spoke with Mr. Soufiane Barkache, commercial director of Agadir Fraiche fruit. The company exports all types of fruits and vegetables.

According to Mr. Barkache, the products most in demand at the moment are citrus fruits and peppers. The majority of customers are requesting unmarked packages.

In terms of destinations, Mr. Barkache explained, "We export to Europe and the Middle East. Lately, we have seen a strong demand from Saudi Arabia, and a surge of business with Emirati customers. Our traditional customers are still present, in Spain, France, Poland, and the Rotterdam hub."

Mr. Barkache added that his company is very interested in the Russian market, and is ready to approach customers in Russia as his competition in Agadir does.

In terms of volume, Agadir Fraiche Fruit has made 35 shipments since the beginning of the campaign in September, a little over 550 tons. Mr Barkache assured that "the quality of the various products he exports is very satisfactory."
