"We are looking for traders all over Europe"

From field to jar in 24 hours

Azienda Agricola De Martino boasts 20 hectares of greenhouses and open fields, a history spanning 77 years and 3 commercial lines: fresh produce for the general markets, fresh-cut baby leaves and the new processed product line that includes vegetables in oil, pâtés and spreads. It has reached the fourth generation and is now looking for traders and distributors in Europe and other continents.

Some De Martino products

FreshPlaza has talked about it with owner Luca De Martino (in the photo): "We have grown a lot over the past few years and we owe it to the change in mentality when it comes to good food. Consumers need to know what they are eating. They prefer eating less but of a better quality rather than making do with products with an uncertain or unsustainable origin or cultivation technique. Freshness and genuineness are our points of strength."

De Martino destined part of its greenhouses to processing to place the products it has been selling on the fresh market into jars. "Our mission has always been that of bringing to the table the flavors and aromas of the fresh produce, though with a different texture and format to enable consumers to enjoy them for longer, yet maintaining healthiness and freshness unaltered. We manage to harvest and process what we grow in a single day thanks to our innovative laboratory."

"We are not talking about products that keep on the shelves for over three years like the industrial ones," stresses De Martino. "Ours have a shelf-life of maximum 11 months because we do not use preservatives or additives."

In addition to wild rocket, red and green lettuce, baby spinach, spinach and mixes, the company also produces green beans in extra virgin olive oil, sliced squash, julienned eggplant, turnip tips and much more.

"We are looking for partners that can help us thanks to a well-structured and functional logistics to supply clients that live far away from our facility in Pontecagnano."
