Ibacem, a Brazilian mango and grape growing company, has opened a European sales office in the Netherlands.
"From this office in Maasdijk (pictured right), Ibacem can better respond to the European market situation and provide better customer service," says Ron Jongejan, who runs the Dutch sales office.
"Ibacem will export about 450 containers of mangos and 150 of grapes to Europe annually. These will be delivered both in Maasdijk and directly to clients. We offer everything from units, pallets, and containers to ripening and different packaging. Everything's possible in consultation." LBP in Maasdijk will do Ibacem's handling and logistics.
"We're getting the first mangoes in February. Those will be Tommy Atkins, Keitt, Kent, and Palmer varieties. We can supply all sizes all year round. We can supply grapes year-round, too, including the Arra15, Iris, and Vitoria varieties. We're expanding our 2024 product line to include Brazilian avocados, ginger, and limes," Ron concludes.
Sustainability, eco-friendliness, and saving water are top priorities for this cultivation company. Ibacem is GlobalGAP, Rainforest, Smeta, GRASP, Fairtrade, and Sedex certified and will be using Normec Groen Agro Control to do its residue research. Ibacem Holland will soon also start the processes for IFS and GlobalGAP chain of custody, among others.
Ibacem will have a stand at Fruit Logistica in Berlin: Hall 1.2, stand 10a.
