From February 8 to 10, 2023, 32 potato, fruit, vegetable, and fruit tree suppliers, three industry organizations, and four fruit and vegetable cooperatives from Belgium will be at Fruit Logistica. They will jointly be at the Flemish Center for Agricultural and Fisheries Marketing (VLAM) stand, A 22, in hall 27.
VLAM's stand at Fruit Logistica 2022
In February, representatives from the world's fruit and vegetable sector will gather at Fruit Logistica in Berlin. Never before has the Belgian exhibitors' interest been so great as this year, with a record participation of 40 companies and cooperatives, VLAM reports. Belgian suppliers will present themselves at a 660 m² VLAM joint booth. Product presentations will highlight the fruit, vegetable, and potato range.
"In a time marked by a recession, inflation, and an energy crisis, there will be no shortage of topics to discuss in Germany's capital," a VLAM representative says. One such topic could be how the fruit and vegetable sector is dealing with current challenges. What are the solutions? One thing's certain: the already noticeable trend toward sustainability will gain even more momentum. And consumers are leaning toward returning to traditional seasonal vegetables. Producers and retailers cannot ignore this development."
"Seasonal vegetable cultivation has always played an important role in Belgium. Think of, for example, chicory or Brussels sprouts - originally from Brussels - in the winter. Belgian leeks are also in great demand internationally during the winter. The high energy costs have greatly reduced this winter's greenhouse cultivation. But that will increase with renewed vigor in the spring," says the spokesperson.
These will be the exhibitors at the Belgian stand, A 22, in hall 27.
