Chilean fresh fruit exports to Asia have grown by 11%

The Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX) has reported that Chile has exported 535,627 tons of fruits to Asia so far in the 2022-2023 season, registering an 11.06% year-on-year increase.

91% of the volume exported to Asian markets went to China. South Korea and Taiwan ranked second and third with 3% each, followed by Japan with 4%.

Exports were led by cherries, which accounted for 71% of shipments to Asia. They were followed by plums with a 13% share, nectarines with 7%, table grapes with 4%, and blueberries with 2%.
