The volume of deliveries of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to the South Urals will increase. Agreements reached during the visit of the official delegation of the Chelyabinsk region to Tashkent will contribute to this.
During the visit, a number of meetings took place, including with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. The head of the delegation met with Uzbek Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov.
“This form of communication is very effective, in my opinion. It is important to find common interests for mutually beneficial cooperation. For our part, we are ready to support any initiatives,” Aziz Voitov said.
During the reciprocal visit of Uzbek colleagues on March 2, a presentation of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange took place at the South Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Representatives of the region's logistics, brokerage, trade, and agro-industrial organizations attended the event. Employees of the electronic platform discussed the possibility of finding partners in Uzbekistan for Russian companies using the resources of the exchange.
Also, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region sent information to the regional representative offices of retail chains about negotiations held with large companies of Uzbekistan that are ready to supply vegetables and fruits in frozen, dried, and fresh forms, as well as grow products on order by concluding futures contracts (GDF-Orient Argo Export and BMB Trade Group BMB).
The South Ural is interested in vegetables and fruits are grown in Uzbekistan. As for logistics, we note that the Chelyabinsk region borders Kazakhstan, which is very convenient for movement.
