McCain Foods has appointed Jillian Moffat as its new regional president for UK operations, replacing Howard Snape in the role.
Jillian Moffatt is due to take up the role at the UK’s largest manufacturer of frozen potato products in April, moving from Canada to the UK. She joined the business in 2008 as chief financial officer at McCain Foods Canada and subsequently progressed her career through a number of roles within the business. Her most recent role at McCain was chief technology officer, appointed in September 2020, leading the IT, data and digital teams.
Jillian, alongside McCain’s GB&I senior leaders, will work closely with farmers across the UK to build on the team’s recent successes, continuing to improve the business’ supply chain’s resilience to meet the needs of our customers and partners.
Howard Snape, former Regional President GB&I, is now becoming the regional president of North America.
Under Howard’s leadership, McCain delivered consistent revenue growth, to investing in and adapting for the future – such as its £170m investment into the renewal of its Scarborough production facility and the launch of its £25m “Farmers Pledge” to support its 250 British farmers in the face of increasing climatic events.
It comes as McCain launches a series of digital and audio conversation cards designed to spark conversation starting points for families during mealtimes.
“It is a privilege to be joining McCain GB&I after my 14 years with the business. McCain has immensely strong roots in the UK, from its relationships with British farmers to its reputation as maker of many families’ favourite food,” regional president GB&I Jillian Moffatt said.
“Howard did an incredible job growing the business during his tenure, proof of which is in the strong position McCain is in now despite the immense external headwinds facing all companies.”
