It recently became known how much money Uzbekistan earned from the sale of fruits and vegetables since the beginning of this year. This was reported by the Statistical Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the provided data, from January to September 2023, Uzbekistan exported about 1.3 million tons of fruit and vegetable products abroad. Compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by almost 100,000 tons (99.5 thousand tons).
In monetary terms, the country earned $831 million from the sale of these products. Compared to last year's figure from January to September, income increased by 9%.
The majority of Uzbek fruit and vegetable products were sold to Russia — 41.9%. Pakistan is in second place with 15.1%. Following in the ranking of major export markets for vegetables and fruits are Kazakhstan and China with indicators of 12.2% and 8.4%, respectively.
