The regional Ministry of Agriculture reported that the harvest of greenhouse vegetables in the Stavropol Territory increased by 10%.
According to the department, since the beginning of 2023, the gross harvest of protected soil vegetables amounted to 96.5 thousand tons, exceeding last year's yield.
In particular, the production of tomatoes increased to 77.5 thousand tons, and the production of cucumbers to 18.7 thousand tons.
The year-round production of such vegetables in the region is ensured by 12 greenhouse complexes with a total area of more than 311 hectares. The main capacities are concentrated in the Izobilnensky, Kirov, and Predgorny districts, the Ministry of Agriculture added.
