Minister of Agriculture, Bolorchuluun Khayangaa, provided insights into the preliminary harvest results. According to initial estimates, the harvest includes 175.0 thousand tons of potatoes and 183.0 thousand tons of vegetables.
This implies that the domestic yield will fully meet the demand for potatoes and cover 85.0% of the vegetable demand. Compared to the previous year, the production of vegetables has increased by 35,000 tons, a 23% rise.
Minister Bolorchuluun highlighted that this year's record harvest is a direct outcome of specific decisions implemented by the government. The achievement signals a significant step towards achieving self-sufficiency in essential crops, ensuring food security within the country.
