Precision irrigation allows for significant water and energy savings, as well as a reduced use of fertilizers and pesticides compared to traditional techniques. The company Irritec is setting up its first production site in Chile, specifically for the production of drip tapes and pipes.
The Irritec Group will be able to consolidate its positioning into the local market and neighboring ones, expanding the portfolio of available products, reducing delivery times and enhancing on-site assistance services. A model that, since 1974, has allowed the Group to increase its presence in over 100 countries worldwide, thanks to a dense commercial and agronomic network, 16 branches and over 1,000 employees.
Contributing to the realization of this new starting point for Irritec was SIMEST, the company of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group for the internationalization of Italian companies. Thanks to the partnership with the Sicilian Group Irritec. With its intervention, SIMEST has provided - together with the Venture Capital Fund that it manages on behalf of the Farnesina - resources for 2.9 million euros for the first Irritec production site in Chile.
