Sencrop and Farmable join forces

Integration of reliable weather data simplifies daily farm operations

Sencrop, a provider of precision weather technology, and Farmable, a user-friendly farm management app, are putting the needs of farmers first by joining forces to simplify daily operations on the farm. Their recent collaboration offers precision weather data from Sencrop, at the fingertips of the farm manager, at the moment a farm manager takes operational decisions for crop applications.

What's new
Farmable CEO Lars Blikom, says: "Farms can now experience the benefits of Sencrop's precision weather products and services in the context of their farming operations, all neatly packaged in the Farmable app. The integration has a global scope and enables Sencrop's weather stations, located anywhere in the world, to connect with the Farmable platform."

Why is this important?
Sencrop CEO Michael Bruniaux, says: "Precision weather data provides a tremendous benefit in improving decision-making for the farm. Ensuring this weather data is visible at the right time is essential. Offering hyper-local weather data at the moment an operational decision is being made by a farm manager, unlocks better decisions faster and easier."

Beyond visualizing Sencrop's data in the Farmable app, customers of both services can benefit from the collaboration as follows:

  1. High quality, Sencrop weather data will be captured and visualised automatically in the Farmable platform and stored with spray or fertilization reports.
  2. Farmable will calculate Delta T at the time of a spray treatment, based on the most recent Sencrop weather data, to provide the farmer a real-time tool for decision support if weather conditions are favourable for spraying.

Benefits of integration for the farm
The real winner of such a collaboration partnership is the farm. Simply by being a customer of Sencrop weather product or service and a subscriber to FarmablePro, the farmer benefits from the two technologies being connected.

So do farms need to invest and install a Sencrop weather station?
"Farms have two options. Those interested can purchase their own weather stations to be placed directly on the field and easily access ultra-local data and recommendations, tailored to the farm. Farms may also choose to connect to stations already installed in their area. This puts the choice in the hands of the farmer and makes precision weather data accessible and affordable," explains Bruniaux.

Want to collaborate? Let's talk.
"As an industry, agriculture has some catching up to do in order to offer the farmer connected solutions that make farming business easier. That means collaborative partnerships such as this between Sencrop and Farmable need to become commonplace," states Blikom.

Both Sencrop and Farmable are eager to talk to open-minded companies that are keen to join forces to build the best possible solution for the farm. In seven years, Sencrop has become the specialist in connected solutions in the field, deploying the largest network of precision ag-weather stations in Europe, with more than 25,000 professional farmers.
