Kultive celebrates 10 years

“Continuing to grow, while remaining close to our producers”

Nearly 150 people gathered at Kultive last Friday to celebrate the company's first decade. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the large turnout, reflecting the good relations that Kultive has maintained with its growers and clients since its creation. "We are very pleased with this anniversary evening," explains Alexandre Picault, general and sales manager of the company. "We have received very positive feedback from producers, teams and clients alike."

The event was organized in two parts. "We began by visiting one of SOPA's packing stations to show our guests how cucumbers, eggplants and peppers are graded and packed. We then continued with a cocktail reception at the end of the day at the Champvallins castle orangery. Just as expected, it was the perfect setting for this occasion."

Nice events to celebrate this first decade
Atef Barbouche, ambassador for the produce trade and creator of the "Biogalta by Atef Barbouche" concept, was also present. "Specialized in fruit and vegetable cutting, Atef Barbouche came to host the evening, offering vegetable sushi with Kultive products. The list of performers included the great magician Jordane Dewost, who is a regular performer in Las Vegas. Finally, guests had the opportunity to take home some photos taken by photographer Romain Balagny and printed directly on site."

Proactive approach to certifications

This tenth anniversary was an opportunity to recall all the certifications the company has obtained. These certifications testify to Kultive's determination to offer quality vegetables grown in compliance with CSR standards. "Whether it is Demain la Terre or HEV, which have been quite significant in recent years, we have always wanted to take an anticipatory approach in terms of quality and CSR in order to meet our clients' demands as quickly as possible."

Young producers are bringing change
The time of exchange was punctuated by 3 speeches to recall the evolution of the company since its creation and its ambitions for the next ten years. "Jacky Cheron, who first created and managed the company, gave a speech, followed by Fabrice Vendran, also a former president and Adrien Quaak, the current president of Kultive - appointed on the day of Kultive's 10th anniversary. In his speech, Adrien introduced all the young producers who have recently joined the company, men and women who have taken over the family farm or come from the outside."

Fifteen of the company's fifty young growers attended the event. This young presence reveals a definite interest in this "challenging" profession, and bears witness to the good relations that Kultive maintains with its growers. "These young people bring something new and shake things up. For example, the fact that we started producing and marketing new varieties of eggplants - Blanche and Graffiti - was initiated by a young producer. They represent a real driving force for the company, in which they are fully involved both as growers and in management. After all, Kultive's board of directors is made up exclusively of grower-shareholders."

Company built on strong human values
Kultive's close relationship with its growers has shaped the company, defined above all by strong human values. "We have never been interested in just making numbers. We are a company on a human scale, a story of men and women. The success of the event bears witness to the confidence producers have in our system. The marketing teams also want to be very close to the growers, have technical knowledge and know the specificities of each grower."

What are your ambitions for the next 10 years?
Kultive intends to cultivate this "proximity to production" in the future. "We want to promote both internal and external growth, while retaining the human values that form the DNA of our company. We want to rely on a strong collective, continue to anticipate quality and CSR initiatives, develop our ranges and our marketing strength around our products, while remaining true to our values: freshness and proximity."
