Kyrgyzstan aims to boost fruit exports

At the Republican Forum "Berries of Kyrgyzstan: First Export Product for $1 billion," the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Torobaev, emphasized the country's commitment to enhancing fruit export volumes. The focus is on producing organic and high-quality agricultural products.

As reported on agroberichtenbuitenland.nl, Torobaev highlighted the necessity of elevating quality, adopting innovative technologies, and constructing processing and refrigeration units. He stressed the importance of improving farmer and specialist training, broadening export opportunities, and implementing modern drip irrigation systems.

The forum served as a venue for sharing experiences and ideas. Additionally, Torobaev noted the growing international interest in Kyrgyz berries. The event featured a workshop on berry cultivation led by Professor Miguel Hermes Ahumada, an experienced agronomist and berry production specialist.
