Kyrgyzstan has increased its imports of bananas from China in 2024, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of China.
During the period from January to July 2024, Kyrgyzstan imported 7,500 tons of bananas from China. The total value of these imports reached $10.5 million, with an average price of $1.4 per kilogram.
It is worth noting, that in the same period of 2023, Kyrgyzstan did not import any bananas from China. The first shipments of Chinese bananas to Kyrgyzstan began only in October 2023.
