In the period from January to July 2024, Azerbaijan reported exports of 19,749 tons of strawberries, generating revenue of $25.212 million. This performance marks a growth both in volume and value compared to the same period in the previous year, with an increase of 2,149 tons (12%) and $1.121 million (5%) respectively, according to data released by the State Statistics Committee.
Comparatively, during the first seven months of 2023, Azerbaijan had exported 17,599 tons of strawberries, valued at $24.9 million. The average export price per kilogram of strawberries in the first seven months of 2024 was recorded at 2.12 manats, indicating a decrease of 0.16 manats (6.7%) from the previous year, where the price stood at 2.33 manats.
