Azcaval presenting the new BELT-80 Lowest at Fruit Attraction

The ultimate packaging solution for cherries and sensitive stone fruit

Fruit Attraction will be the perfect setting for Azcaval to present its new Belt-80 packaging line. "The new Belt-80 Lowest is specially designed for sensitive stone fruits, such as cherries, which are susceptible to problems such as pitting; or apricots, whose skin can easily break. Its design has been optimized to avoid blockages, especially when handling fruits with stalks, such as cherries, which tend to get stuck in the weighing and packing process," says Enrique Azcárate, CEO of Azcaval.

"We have implemented key improvements for the product's distribution inside the machine, including a system of thick modular belts and tuning belts that optimize the transport to the weighing head. The design of the head, with a special opening, ensures accurate filling of the containers and minimizes the risk of product damage."

"Cleanliness is one of the priorities. The use of an IP65 standard and a mechanical design intended to facilitate sanitization significantly prevents residue accumulation. As for the weighing software, we use the same as in our E80 and E120 Lowest models, which guarantees accuracy and speed, backed up by our experience in blueberry packing."

"Lastly, our Multiformat Container Loader also features a customized version for products using clamshell containers with safety clips, ensuring greater versatility."

The Belt-80 Lowest is ideal for the packing of sensitive stone fruits, such as cherries, apricots, several varieties of plums, as well as cherry tomatoes. "We are working on future versions adapted to larger stone fruits, such as peaches and nectarines. And, of course, flat stone fruits, such as flat peaches, are also on our radar, as we are aware of their growing popularity in the market."

"We have our own technical support service in the Netherlands and Peru"
In the last four years, Azcaval, a company from Seville specializing in packaging solutions, has achieved exponential growth. "This has involved changes in our internal organization and the adoption of new technologies to manage every stage of the process, from sales to after-sales service. We have signed distribution agreements in several countries and we have our own technical support service in the Netherlands and Peru, which complements the support of our distributors."

"In terms of markets, our team has consolidated its position in the international blueberry sector, which has greatly facilitated our expansion. We are also working on vertical packaging projects (bag type), both in Spain and in Latin America and Portugal, for a wide variety of products."

At this edition of Fruit Attraction, Azcaval will be putting its Belt-80 in the spotlight, although this is not the only project it has been working on in recent months. "We are developing the 2025 versions of our E120 and E80 Lowest, with significant improvements to their Multiformat Loaders. These improvements include a more accessible design, higher production speed and capacity to be 100% waterproof, allowing the line to be cleaned directly with pressure jetting, active foam or steam machines."

"We are also working on other equipment that we hope to present at the next edition of Fruit Logistica in Berlin, but for now, we can't reveal any more details," says Enrique.

In just a few days, Azcaval will be present at Fruit Attraction in Hall 9, stand 9F-20. "We will be delighted to welcome both our customers, with whom we already have meetings scheduled, as well as anyone interested in learning more about our equipment."
