In the period from January to August of this year, Georgia imported grapes worth over 3 million USD, marking a 2.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
In 2023, the country imported grapes valued at 2.9 million USD.
This year, Georgia sourced grapes from the following top 10 countries:
- Iran – 489 tons worth 960,000 USD;
- Armenia – 602 tons worth 565,000 USD;
- Uzbekistan – 294 tons worth 513,000 USD;
- Turkey – 355 tons worth 403,000 USD;
- Netherlands – 97 tons worth 336,000 USD;
- China – 172 tons worth 235,000 USD;
There were also smaller shipments from India, Lithuania, the United Arab Emirates, and Poland.
Despite the small annual increase, Georgia's grape imports have reached an all-time high.
