Rescina Service, an Apulian company that designs and assembles weighers, is about to launch a tabletop version of the Karmen model.
"In the last three years we have sold hundreds of this model, which is used for packing directly at the harvest, especially in vineyards. This weighing solution is used in several crops in Italy and Europe. We have built up enough customer loyalty to be familiar with our products. We have made some structural and system changes with the intention of bringing this innovation and its advantages to fruit and vegetable warehouses, depending on the processing and channels involved," explains Giuseppe Rescina, Technical Manager and designer of the Apulian company.
Rescina Service has designed a new version for the packaging of fruit and vegetables in response to the growing interest of farms and agricultural companies in testing and positioning themselves in different sales channels, with packaging that allows the end consumer to buy the product and go straight to the counter, avoiding any weighing in the fruit and vegetable department.
"The new counter model has a sturdier and heavier structure, with a 3 mm galvanised iron base with anti-rust treatment and a 1.5 mm steel worktop. The total weight is over 6 kg", continues Rescina, "it is a robust instrument (built to last), accurate (it guarantees precise weighing with a high degree of accuracy), reliable (it works constantly and without problems) and, finally, affordable (to allow all companies to modernise their industrial equipment). The scale is equipped with a more accurate load cell, which allows balanced operation over the entire surface.
A special feature is the depth-adjustable tipper, which allows any type of container to be conveniently weighed and packed, from small baskets weighing a few hundred grams to large 40x60 cm boxes. "By moving the flap at different points in the slot, it is possible to set the most comfortable inclination for the operator. The mobile indicator then provides a wire that can be picked up at any point, allowing the operator to assume the correct position for most of the working time. The new scale also has a programmable dual range (2 and 5 g division) to ensure greater accuracy for smaller weights, such as baskets of cherries, strawberries, etc."
The new scale will be presented by Rescina Service on the occasion of LUV, the first Italian table grape fair, to be held in Bari from 22 to 24 October.
